Extention of time RE: Socorro Grant Deeds

Here is a little something that I found on Google books. It refers to a bill introduced by Mr. Hilton (of San Antonio?) regarding the Socorro Grant. It seeks to amend law to "extend the time to procure deeds from the City of Socorro Grant...." I'm not sure why this was needed. I would like to research this more. I found this act referenced in a number of newspapers of the era.

Journal of the House. Proceedings of the First State Legislature: First Session. State of New Mexico March 11th, to June 8th, 1912. Google Books. Retrieved 23 May 2015. page 179.

  1. This would have to be Conrad Hilton because he was a member of the Legislature at the time and of course he was from the area.
